What counts as a "developer"?

A developer is anyone on your team with a GitHub or GitLab account that opens or reviews pull requests. Bot accounts, CI service accounts, and machine users don't count.

Do you charge for bot accounts or CI users?

No. We only count human contributors. Dependabot, Renovate, and any CI bot accounts are excluded from your seat count automatically.

Can we self-host on Team?

Self-hosted is an Enterprise option. The Team tier runs on our infrastructure. If data residency or on-premise deployment is a hard requirement, reach out for Enterprise.

What happens if we cancel?

You keep access through the end of your current billing period. After that, private repos stop receiving reviews. Public repos are always free and always reviewed.

Is there a student or open-source discount?

Open-source is already free — no discount needed. For student teams working on private projects, email us. We don't have a formal programme but we're reasonable about it.

What is the difference between monthly and annual?

Annual billing is $24/mo billed as $288/year — a 20% saving over monthly. No other differences. Same features, same limits, same support.
